President and CEO Valerie Jordan and Senior Tax Consultant Chris Wiggins had a busy summer attending several industry conferences including the 37th Annual Conference for The Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s 2013 Financial Management Seminar, and the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators (SEATA).
Kennesaw, June 10, 2013 ─ V Jordan Inc. was a sponsor of the 3rd Annual Miles-4-Major 5K Race that was held on June 8 in Marietta, Georgia. The non-profit Miles-4-Major raises awareness and financial support for families with young children who need hearing aids. This year’s family-centered outreach event started and finished at the Maple Avenue Methodist Church.
Kennesaw, April 30, 2013 ─ V Jordan Inc. will be co-sponsoring a continental breakfast for the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s 2013 Financial Management Seminar on Monday, June 24. The annual seminar is being held between June 24 and 26 at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. As one of many industry-specific education and training programs that help its member companies, the 2013 Financial Management Seminar is held every year to ensure that financial managers in the poultry and egg industry are kept up-to-date on accounting practices, tax laws, the current economy, and trend forecasts that can affect poultry and egg companies.
Kennesaw, April 29, 2013 ─ Several V Jordan Inc. staff attended the South Cobb Area Council Social for an event hosted by WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia on April 24. During the event, our staff enjoyed the opportunity to network with business and community leaders and tour the hospital’s operating room in which the da Vinci Surgical System® is installed.
Kennesaw, April 29, 2013 ─ Representatives from CCH attended the first-quarter V Jordan Inc. staff meeting, which was held at the Georgian Club in Atlanta on April19. CCH is a Wolters Kluwer business that provides up-to-date tax information that is used extensively by V Jordan Inc. tax professionals. During the meeting, Liz Chadwick, Account Manager, Research Projects and Ruth O’Toole, Senior Research Consultant, Training & Consulting presented service updates to V Jordan Inc. staff.
Kennesaw, April 26, 2013 ─ V Jordan Inc. recently welcomed Clint Hulsey to its team as a tax consultant. Clint is a graduate of Kennesaw State University where he finished the degree program in accounting. His work experience includes sales and use tax consulting at IntegriTax, providing bookkeeping and tax services at Jarmin & Associates, owning an accounting and tax firm and a commercial cabinet manufacturing company, managing purchases for a chemical company, and selling chemicals.
