The pop-up event allowed an opportunity to receive hands-on advice from other business owners in Atlanta about growing a business, running your business faster and building strong connections along the way. Key presentations included topics on leveraging community resources and managing the entrepreneurial world as well as a special presentation on Life, Leadership, and Success from former Atlanta Falcon’s coach Dan Reeves.

Kennesaw, March 10, 2017 – V Jordan Inc. President, Valerie Jordan attended the March 2017 Cobb Executive Women’s (CEW) Luncheon and networking event on Friday, March 10, 2017. The guest speaker was Caroline Duffy, Founding partner at Jackson Spalding, an integrated marketing communications firm.

Ms. Duffy’s presentation was titled “Building Leaders. The Power of Internal Mentoring Programs.” Ms. Duffy shared the evolution of Jackson Spalding’s mentoring program from its inception to today’s formal program. She outlined the benefits of a formal mentoring program and stressed how the program lends towards a company’s culture.

The meeting included a special presentation featuring Dr. Roger Tutterow, a professor of Economics at Kennesaw State University. He is also the Director of the Economic Center, which is a research center located at the Coles College of Business.

Vanessa Walker has joined VJI as their new Business Development Coordinator after working with the firm part-time for several months. Vanessa’s previous experience includes working as an Account Generation Specialist at CDI Managed Services and a Production Department Order Coordinator at First American Title Company. Throughout her career she has exceled at lead generation and running campaigns for partnering agencies.

After lunch, all the ladies perused locally-manufactured goods at the Shoppe Artisan holiday market across the street at the Cobb Galleria to support local manufactures. As a token of appreciation for membership Women in Manufacturing gave everyone at the luncheon a wooden coaster that was hand made by a local Georgia manufacturer.
