Kennesaw, October 3, 2016 ―In honor of Public Safety Week, VJI Client Development Manager Courtney Cole attended the October First Monday Breakfast hosted by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. The breakfast kicked off the week by allowing the community to show appreciation for all members of public safety personnel within Cobb County. The 2016 Public Safety Employee of the Year award, individual and group awards of Merit, Distinguished Achievement award, and Medal of Valor were all presented at the event.

“It was very heartwarming to hear so many heroic stories of men and women saving the lives of Cobb County residents and how the Cold Case Unit of the Cobb District Attorney’s Office solved a 30 year old cold case that brought justice to a victim’s family,” says Cole. A special tribute to all the men and women of Cobb County who lost their lives in the line of duty were honored by a candle light visual and bagpipes playing while a photo of the fallen officer appeared on the projection screen. “This tribute was a true reminder of how officers put their lives on the line every day when they put that uniform on,” says Cole. “I had the privilege of eating breakfast with Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren, who worked with my dad for many years and has seen me grow up,” continued Cole.
